Dr. Meyerle is available for patients at Coastal Eye Care for consultation in all areas of vitreoretinal diseases. Dr. Meyerle graduated with honors from Princeton University, received her medical degree from Georgetown University, and completed her ophthalmology residency training at Yale University. Prior to joining Coastal Eye Care, Dr. Meyerle was an assistant professor at Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
After graduating with honors from Princeton University, Dr. Meyerle received her medical degree from Georgetown University. She completed her ophthalmology residency training at Yale University where she received the Marvin L Sears Award for Clinical Excellence. She then pursued two years of medical retina fellowship training, with one year at Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital and another year at the National Eye Institute, National Institutes of Health. From 2007 to 2013, she served as an attending staff clinician at the National Eye Institute. From 2013 to 2019, she was an assistant professor of ophthalmology at Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She has published over 50 peer reviewed scientific articles and is an invited reviewer for multiple retinal journals. She belongs to the Macula Society, a selective organization for academically minded retinal specialists interested in promoting improved treatments for macular disease.
